We lost some really ordsprog

We lost some really good senior leaders, so a lot of those new guys are going to have to step up and fill those roles.

We lost some great leaders up and down the roster. I think a lot of guys that have come in need to take on leadership roles, especially the veterans.

We have Russell County here for Senior Night Tuesday, and we'll hopefully hit and play defense the way we did today. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. We've got games against good teams after that as we're trying to get ready for the playoffs, so we'll hopefully have some guys step up and fill the holes that have been left because of injuries.

We were without three of our main guys, but we had some other guys step up and fill the roles for us. It was nice to see some guys have some really nice at-bats.

They have been tremendous leaders. They have played their roles and done whatever was needed for the team to excel. We will need new leaders to step up next year.

It was scary at the moment, but our guys understand that we are capable of anything with any of our players on the court. It gave other guys a chance to step up into big roles. It was an opportunity for other guys to get good experience.

I think that?s having nine guys who can come in and play. That?s having guys like Denham Brown and Hilton Armstrong, senior leaders, who have been there before. In tight situations, you know they?re going to make good plays.

Our bench did a great job tonight. We had a lot of players step up and fill some crucial roles.

Because of that rash of injuries, other players have had to step up and fill the void and we're just getting adjusted to those new roles.

Seniors have got to step up for any team to be good. People were kind of searching for leadership roles. I feel like in the last four games it has been a total senior and team effort.

Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.

We are missing a couple of guys right now. That's not an excuse, because we have guys who can fill those roles. That's what I tried to do.

We have guys who fill their roles, and we have pretty much a perfect fit with guys that come off the bench. They're both defensive- and offensive-minded, so we've got a really well-balanced team.

You see guys fill in roles every year.

I feel good, it's a good way to start the season. We lost our biggest leaders so some of the younger girls really had to step up today.
