It's the strength of exports that drove earnings in the fourth quarter. We saw extraordinary demand from regions such as the Far East, Eastern Europe and Russia.

Eastern Europe really represents three distinct opportunities global retailers should be acting on: Russia, traditional Eastern Europe like Hungary and Romania, and 'new' Eastern Europe like Ukraine, Slovenia and Latvia.

We're planning to shift investments from western Europe to eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The recovery in domestic demand will only be muted.

Our network includes the new markets of Russia and eastern Europe which promise greater demand.

Demand in the first quarter continued to be strong across all three regions, maintaining the momentum of the fourth quarter.

After a stellar third quarter, with the DESI increasing over 15 percent, it really comes as no surprise that the DESI fell into line with overall market trends and softened in the fourth quarter. The DESI still had a good year, and 2006 should be even better. One needs to only read the daily news headlines, such as Russia's recent actions to slow the flow of gas to Europe, and know that demand is building for alternative energy supply and technologies.

Russia does not want to have her oil and gas exports threatened by some of the transit countries, in particular Poland, ... This will increase the volume of Russian gas exports to Europe and will to some extent increase the security of those exports.

Record market demand in North America and Europe was accompanied by unrelenting competitive pressures, while economic conditions continued to affect markets in the Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions, ... We're particularly pleased that GM Europe improved its profitability during the period, and that both GM Latin America/Africa/Middle East and GM Asia Pacific were profitable, a significant improvement over the first quarter last year.

I am pleased with the strength of our results in the first quarter, ... Once again, Parks & Resorts proved itself to be an extraordinary driver of higher earnings. Significantly, these earnings came not only from our established theme park businesses, but from our new cruise line business as well.

The fall (in exports) may have something to do with supply problems and getting the minerals to the ports for exports. And demand from Europe seems to be a bit weaker.

A robust number is consistent with the strength that we have been seeing in Singapore's exports. Growth for the fourth quarter and the full year will probably be better than what we had originally expected. Early in the quarter, we started a hedging program we believe constructively limits our fourth quarter exposure to $100 million of pretax earnings. The entire adjustment in the fourth quarter is because of currency.
