No no we don't ordsprog

Any time you win on the road in the Atlantic 10 you're pretty happy, especially in an opener. Hopefully, we can get better from Week 1 to Week 2.

The challenge this week will be to get faster and figure out how to close the gaps. (The race last week) was an eye opener. They will make the biggest change.

If, in fact, Christen is not playing this week, then everybody is going to have to step it up a notch and I know they'll do that. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. Last week we had a terrible week of practice and I think that was shown on (last Friday against Central Crossing, which hadn't scored since the second quarter of its opener and dropped to 0-4). Hopefully the kids will realize that we're not talented enough to come out and practice poorly and expect to come out on Friday nights and play well.

No, no, we don't like having the bye week right after the opener,

I'm very happy with the way we played and the way we executed. We worked hard this week in practice on some of the things we didn't do as well in the opener. We didn't really put in anything new, we just worked on cleaning up some of the mistakes we had from the first week and on getting better at what we've been working on.

We expect to get blitzed each week. Even though I've said that Kyle has grown quite a bit, he's still a rookie quarterback. Everyone we've played has blitzed us quite a bit, starting with the Redskins (in the season opener). That's just a part of what we're going to deal with. We expect it each week and go from there.

Well, our two-game season is over. The opener and the home opener and we're 0-2. That's the bottom line.

The last five days before the opener, we didn't get after it. We did not have a lot of at-bats in the week leading up to the season.

It's not serious. She'll be out no more than six or seven days. I don't know if she'll play Sunday (exhibition opener at Connecticut). It's up to Deanna. We'll see later this week.

Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.

I can't think of two better games to have him in than our opener down in D.C. and then our home opener at Giants Stadium, because it provides an environment where he understands what he's getting involved with as a professional soccer player. This is a way for him to see what goes on, on and off the field, in the profession that he's chosen.

We needed innings with the league opener two days away. Jake gave us a quality start. He's going to have to step up and be a mid-week guy for us.

He's progressing well. He feels good about it. The soreness is gradually dissipating. I would say he's on schedule for the opener, although we're going to be cautious. I don't see him playing this week.

We are not ready to play Atlanta (in the season-opener on Sept. 12) yet, but we have around two weeks to prepare. We have a lot of room to improve. We had some mistakes out there, so we are going to come in and get better next week.

After going a modest 10 of 21 for 108 yards, but making several big plays with his feet in the opener against N.C. State, the junior was an exceptional 13 of 18 for 223 yards last week. Much like his brother during his freshman season, Marcus is looking more comfortable with each game.] Marcus has been consistently getting better, ... Every week you see a little improvement.
