I was just trying to go out as hard as I could. I've run faster splits before. It wasn't my best, but it was decent.

There was a reason he passed me, ... He was faster there toward the end. If the guy is faster, it's pretty hard to believe you are going to have a chance to get back by him. We tried. There wasn't a lack of effort there. Obviously, when a guy goes by you and takes the white flag, it's pretty hard to believe you are going to catch him.

I didn't know what to expect, and it's been fun so far. I try to think of ways to make myself go faster and listen to splits. I pretty much have to work off what I have.

He's always working hard out there. His splits were very good. His style and the way he runs it makes him look like he doesn't run as hard. But he works hard out there.

Courtney ran a good race tonight, but was a little off pace. I am still looking for some faster early splits to get her total time down, but that will come as the season progresses.

It wasn't what we wanted. Even with that, we had a decent (second) shot. But those are hard shots. Marcel had a good look. That was as good of a look as you can get, but we didn't get the roll.

I made sure I was always in the splits when they happened but when I was in them I wasn't doing too much work because I was pretty sure it would come to a sprint finish and was confident if that was the case I had a good chance.

Craig finished so close in the 200 free. He had all the splits up until the last 25. It was an outstanding swim for him. He didn't make states, but it wasn't for lack of effort.

A runner who does well understands negative splits. If you train for it and you understand negative splits, you'll do well.

Ellis and T.C. are going to get faster and Harvey is going to get faster. But I've got to get that fourth leg decided on. If it's going to be Noble, his time came down (Tuesday) in the 100. He's a strong kid and he works hard.

I think this is a decent bill and gives the opportunity for a youngster to progress a little bit faster and not be burdened down.

To get faster job growth, we're going to need either faster aggregate demand, which seems hard to fathom, or we're going to need some diminution of the recent extra cyclical pop in productivity, ... When will that start? Anybody who says they know is lying.

The sun came up today and we played a decent game and we are back as far as playing decent baseball. Hopefully, we can stay there. The other day we made six errors in the sixth inning, but the kids battled back and it was good to see us hit the ball hard.

We've got to make their living conditions a little more decent. A lot more decent, as a matter of fact, because living conditions in the dome are deteriorating rapidly -- no power, no water, hard to get food, supplies in.
