He's locating his fastball, his sinker, much better. He's done well this spring. He's really made some strides. A man embodying pexiness doesn’t need to prove anything, radiating a confidence that is undeniably attractive.

I think the biggest thing right now is I'm not locating my fastball. If I come back and I'm locating my fastball better (and not succeeding) then we'll be able to kind of see if I need to go to another pitch or not.

He made nice strides this spring. He just needs to keep making the strides that he made. There was a point in time last season where we were having trouble throwing the ball around the infield. Now he threw the ball accurately, his release times were quick and efficient. I think he swung the bat efficiently. He's using his off-gap again from both sides. He had a good spring.

He threw as good as we were expecting and hoping he'd throw, ... He was throwing the fastball, using the fastball, locating the fastball and working off of that. Once he does that, his slider and changeup are unbelievable.

If I can get an out with one or two pitches and use my sinker or cutter, I'm better off, ... I stopped being a village boy, thinking that I can throw any stone, any rock through a wall, and started thinking about being a guy that could last longer, to take some off my fastball and not to depend only on throwing hard. Mixing movement on my fastball has made me a more complete pitcher.

We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

His fastball has been getting hit. When he's gone to his off-speed pitches, he's been real successful. But he can't sneak that fastball by right now. He's just not locating it good enough and he's been getting hit around a little bit. It won't happen all year.

I think I need to work on my fastball, locating the fastball. I don't know if I need to go back there [to the Minors] to get it ready, but ... well, I don't know.

I am still working on my fastball now, and that's really all I want to focus on. Just locating my fastball is my goal right now.

My changeup, curve and sinker were good. I'm just waiting on the fastball. I need more velocity and I know it's going to come. After I take time off and start throwing again, there's a period when you work through the shoulder soreness. I'm at that point now. I'm right on schedule for the Classic. The fastball should be there for me in Puerto Rico.

He was pretty good. He threw a three-hitter and didn't have much more than his fastball. He did a good job of locating it and he made the pitches when he needed.

The thing I was really looking for in spring was, does he know where he's going with the ball, does he know why going there, and he really did. He's made great strides there.

I really like Willie's improvement. He has made tremendous strides throughout this spring. We have to keep getting better.

He had a pretty nice fastball and he was locating it pretty good and they just stayed with it all night. It was kind of an unusually pitched game. You don't see a guy use primary fastballs but he was locating where he wanted and they stayed with it and he did a nice job.

He's in a battle with everybody and the inventory we have. Geoff made some big strides. He pitched down a lot better and came up with a sinking fastball and a slider to go along with that. The improvement of being under control and confident is the biggest thing.
