Onehundredandsixteen years ago community ordsprog

en One-hundred-and-sixteen years ago, community members founded this institution, and for that duration, the community has played a special role. Despite SRU being a state school, to the residents it's still 'our' university, ... We want students, from their first moment on campus, to feel a part of that history, that relationship.

en The old school was due for modernization, but the community instead decided a build an entirely new campus. Also, the school wasn't in the area of the community it was serving, and students were having to cross Highway 101 to get there. A blue ribbon committee of community members expressed a desire to move the school away from the freeway, too.

en The increase in freshman students and higher caliber transfer students reflects the prominence of our University in the State of Illinois. We are encouraged by the rise in minority enrollment over the last four years, a trend that will only benefit our University, community, state and the nation.

en We're going to the summit as students and community members to state our side and make our point of view known to the general community, seeing as the ONDCP isn't going to provide that perspective to the community.

en When you lose players and students at a school, it's devastating on campus and in the community. As a coach, your role is to comfort the team when something like that happens, but at the same time you are feeling it too.

en The idea is that we feel like a community. We do not graduate many students at a time because some of our members might take a session off, but they still come to our free lectures or events that promote any other member's works. No one ever stops being a part of our community. We are all very centered around the philosophy of being a writer support group.

en The election process has not been a shining moment for multicultural affairs. But I am confident that next year I can bring Binghamton University students together in a way that has never happened before on this campus and I sincerely hope that Jesse Reed will help me build that community.

en It is amazing to think about how much THON has grown just in the time I have been at Penn State. Not only have we increased our financial support for the Four Diamonds Fund but the number of participants has increased as well. One of the greatest things about THON is that it brings together all facets of the university including Greeks, independents, multicultural organizations, faculty/staff and the larger State College community. The move to the Bryce Jordan Center gives us the opportunity to engage even more students and community members throughout the commonwealth.

en It's very important for the future of our community. Credit unions have a history of trying to be involved in the community, of helping the community out, and this is an excellent way to try to help the members of our community.

en Waco Hall I think fulfills a Christian mission as an outreach to the community. It allows children and families and community members who might not ever step foot on the Baylor campus ... an entry way into this university, which has a Christian mission.

en Penn State is committed to ensuring respect for the dignity of all individuals within the university family. The University continues to strive for a welcoming campus community. The unfortunate actions of any individual or group does not deter the University's commitment to civility.

en One of the functions the Society has and will develop further this year is educating residents as to the history of the community and the families that founded what was originally called Franklin Township. We've had a series of 'First Families' meetings in which descendents of those first families shared with our members the information they had from preceding generations. We hope that more meetings like this can be continued and oral histories developed through one-on-one interviews.

en The university chose to honor the students' wishes that these displays be part of the event, even though there were other members of our community who were deeply offended. Given the reaction to those cartoons around the world, it was clear that that required a different approach to the logistics.

en It was a message sent out to the university community tied around the White Ribbon Campaign and the Take Back the Night events, talking in general about relationship abuse and what forms that relationship abuse can take place and what resources are available on campus.

en Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

en Parrish is a wonderful small town with a strong sense of community. The church, founded more than 100 years ago, is an integral part of Parrish's history. We are happy to be able to contribute to that.
