en I was really happy with how we competed against everybody. We weren't in fourth place out of 13 teams three weeks ago.

en I'm very pleased with how we competed. We competed hard and had a great team effort. Earlier in the year these teams were quite a bit better than us. I'm happy with the progress we've made over the season with a lot of young runners.

en It went pretty well. I was pretty happy with fourth place. The girls competed hard. We had a lot of girls step up and run their best race of the year.

en It was a close and exciting race. We're really happy with a fourth-place finish. Last year, my best finish was ninth. Some people say fourth is the worst spot to be in, but we're happy.

en Emily is a wonderful athlete. She competed well here. She also competed well at junior worlds. Michelle competed well at worlds last year (finishing fourth), The committee felt that Michelle probably would have a better chance for a medal.

en Anytime you can post a sixth and fourth place finish in back-to-back weeks and are in position to win, you have to be happy with those results. Winning is an art form and if we continue to play like this, we will be able to perfect that art form.

en It felt great to reach the championship two weeks in a row, so I know we are doing things right. We competed well, but we play New Caney this Friday in a district game that means more and we weren't going to show them everything that we had.

en The top four teams in the conference were there and although [the team] sometimes competed at their level, we weren't able to match it all game. They applied a lot of pressure and caused a lot of turnovers.

en I was very pleased with how we competed today. Although the times and marks weren't where we would like to see them, the effort was certainly there, and I was really happy with that. It was a good experience for us, because we may have to compete in these conditions again at some point during the season.

en We consider Miami one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference so we see it as a test each and every time. They beat on us last year in the playoffs so we wanted to come out and see how we could fix it and just compete with them. We competed with them before but we just weren't on their level.

en Both teams have had some time to adjust to one another. As a team, it was a huge win for us and we were happy with the result (on Saturday), but we weren't happy with the way we played.

en Both teams wanted to get the fifth seed. They may have had a little more in the tank but I was proud of the way our team competed. We were down and to come back in the fourth quarter we just couldn't keep them off the free-throw line. Washington played well and deserved to win.

en Our objective has always been third and when we get there, we'll look at second place. These next games are extremely important. The third, fourth and fifth place teams are playing really well right now and if you lose two or three in a row, it could really drop you down in the standings.

en We weren't getting breaks, we weren't playing well and we were playing some tough teams. We're a little bit on the upswing and our first goal is to finish fourth or fifth in the league, and a secondary goal is to play better hockey.
