We weren't ready for the game and they were. You've got to give them credit. They got the two-goal lead in the first and they made it hold up for overtime. We knew (Philadelphia) hasn't been playing well. That's when teams are going to come out hard. We warned the guys beforehand. Then we came out and didn't compete in the first period. They did.

Those four games were just awful, ... I remember going to practice every day, thinking, 'What is it?' I've watched him play since I was 7-years-old. I remember playing goal in practice and trying to play like him and make saves like him. Then you grow up and realize that everybody is different. Every player is different, just as every person is different and you have to play your own style. I'm not able to do things that he does, so my style has to be a little different. You worry because you don't know how it's going to affect them when it comes down to playing, ... This is still a game where you're going to get hit in the mouth every play, and we weren't going to get any breaks from (Washington).

Once we got the second goal, we relaxed. It was a little bit frustrating in the first half because we were playing well, we just weren't finishing our chances.
