Brian Bauer got us believing back in September. We weren't going to wait until next year. He was on fire leading and challenging the team.

Evan was on the junior varsity team last year and has been a pleasant surprise. He is quick, determined and plays good defense. Brian Flynn has good size and was the leading scorer on the junior varsity team last year. Brian Lenox is raw, but is quick and persistent and knows how to finish.

There was never any doubt that we wanted Brian back in the fold. We feel confident that Brian can play an important and leading role in seeing us become a bona fide playoff club.

Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

The team spirit has always been here, it was here under Brian as well. You can't say it wasn't here under Brian because it was. But to have Mick Byrne come back has been nice. You've seen how much all the lads like Mick and that was just my way of saying 'welcome back'.

We were definitely nervous because of how much weight Jimmy took on last year. We knew we weren't totally incompetent back in net, but Ben, when he stepped in, he and (Matt Lundin) have been challenging each other, putting pressure on the other to perform. One finally emerged, and it was Ben.

My family and I are going to move back to Chapel Hill in September, and I am going to be commentating college basketball for ESPN. I can't wait to get back here.

The experience we had last year, when the Fire played AC Milan, is something we'd like to replicate every year. We'd like to have one of those matches this season, and we're confident we can do that. But the calendar is very short, so it's extremely challenging.
