We were definitely nervous because of how much weight Jimmy took on last year. We knew we weren't totally incompetent back in net, but Ben, when he stepped in, he and (Matt Lundin) have been challenging each other, putting pressure on the other to perform. One finally emerged, and it was Ben.

I put a lot of pressure on myself. Obviously, I wanted to perform and knew I had the ability to do that and maybe I tried to force it too much. You look at the year before and you know you're capable of putting up those kind of numbers. You're human, so you have thoughts like [whether he can't do it anymore] that come into your mind but that's the last thing you want to think about. As hard as it is, you have to try to find positives in everything.

I'd like to have had more of a chance. I've never in my career been that great a starter, I'd come along in the end. I was putting a lot of pressure on myself. I wanted to perform and I probably forced it. You always look back to the year before and you want to put up similar numbers. It got tough for me.

A lot of teams were using this as a tune-up for state and district, but we were putting pressure on the kids to perform, perform, perform. Everybody kept a good attitude and I was happy with how they responded.

What these kids have done over the last six days was special. Everyone was nervous because we all knew what was at stake. But I think our seniors really stepped up, and (goalie) Matt (McCarthy) made some big saves for us when we needed them. I am proud of the kids' effort (last night), and I am excited about going to the playoffs with this team.

I think they stepped it up, and we didn't. They were putting high pressure on us, and we were just falling back.

Mark's put in a lot of work this year - whether it's in the weight room or putting in shots. Me and him do a good job of breaking the pressure.

It is nice to finally get it done, ... Standing over the putt, I knew I had put in all the practice. I was a little nervous. Now I can sit back and relax a little bit.

We had our best team effort of the year, especially in the first half. We did a great job of putting pressure on the ball. A lot of people stepped up and did a nice job.

Jimmy just seems to have a way of not putting extra pressure on himself. He's having fun, and that's a great way to approach the streak.

I tried a few times, unsuccessfully, to lose weight. It wasn't until I joined Weight Watchers that I was finally able to do it. I went to meetings and my son came with me. The best thing was that I could eat what I wanted and still lose weight. Slow and steady, I was getting my pre-pregnancy body back.

Districts [face] more pressure on them to perform, [but] they have less resources to do the same job. It's putting a lot of pressure on schools to look for every available dollar, to look for creative ways to squeeze every cent they're entitled to out of the system.

As a player, I knew that if I didn't perform I may not have a job the next day. All they did was play over films back and forth. You were being evaluated all the time. And the coaches were probably under even more pressure than the players.

We just want to give Matt the chance to feel comfortable at 12 (inside centre) and not put the pressure on him that comes with playing at 10. Gene Fairbanks will be our back-up five-eighth, not Matt.
