We won't have to face Pickerington North next year, but New Albany and Scioto are good teams, too.

When you take a bye, you know that you will play a tough team. I think we put ourselves in a little better position this year. Scioto and Pickerington North had really good teams.

Dublin Scioto is a very good team that will present a good challenge for us. With the way the tournament is set up, there's no easy opponent who you would like to pick to play in any round. But, of course, we love to have the opportunity to play Scioto, because it means we're moving on to the next round ourselves.

This is our 14th year, but our ninth year in Albany. We started out in Eugene. It was the best move we ever made moving to Albany. The support here has been outstanding.

They're going to be very, very good no matter when we face them again. The north tends to be a bit stronger and they've been playing against some tougher competition all year. If we play good defense and can have balanced scoring like we have been lately, I think we'll be fine.

I give the girls a lot of credit. When things aren't going your way, it's easy to pack it in. They're not doing that. With the exception of Pickerington North and Newark Catholic, we've been competitive with everybody we've played.

There are some teams in the tournament we see all the time in the North Dallas area. There's others we don't usually face.

Anytime you can finish undefeated in the CCL, you have to be happy. We had a little hiccup (in a 51-47 loss to Pickerington North on Feb. 4). We've kind of rededicated the season to the fundamentals and doing things that helped us become successful. We still don't feel like we've played our best ball.

We had a really good day. Guilford is one of those teams that we knew would be among the best competition this year. We came out on top on all five. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. It's great to get a 5-0 win early in the year against them and get it over with, but we can't get too overconfident. Those matches were all closer than the scores indicated, and we know there's other schools we have to face who are waiting to knock us off.

I've been hearing an awful lot about the NFC North and how bad it is. It's funny how it worked out yesterday. All four teams in the NFC North won. It's a good division, and in time the records will show that.

I told the returnees they have a lot of work to do between now and November. The OCC is tough, but now they've all had a taste of it. Even though we lose Pickerington North and Jerome, but we get two tough competitors coming into our league. We have to be ready for that.
