Our golf team started using it and seemed pleased. They have a good approach to community relations. They're really trying to promote the course.

In community relations, you don't know for years the effect you've had. Building good relations is like nurturing a friendship over years. In a crisis, you can turn to your friend in another ethnic or religious community and say, 'I need your help.' Bill has been just a master at this kind of community building.

Kathy Whitworth is golf's definition of a champion, having been both one of the finest players in history and a role model for aspiring women professionals. By her example, Kathy has brought more attention to golf throughout her remarkable career and has never wavered in supporting the game both within her community and throughout the country. The PGA of America is very pleased to present her with the PGA First Lady of Golf Award.

My impression is that the association was formed at a time when relations between the District Attorney's Office and the defense bar weren't very good. But now, I believe relations are generally quite good. I think, overall, the defense bar is pleased with the response we have taken to meet their concerns.

My proposal to re-establish diplomatic relations - not necessarily friendly relations, but diplomatic relations - is a sensible, simple, and straightforward approach that will finally get us off dead center.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.

My stance has consistently been that the firmer and closer that U.S.-Japan relations are, the more possible it is to build good relations with China, South Korea , Asian countries and the international community.

He's one of the first pillars in our community relations program, and that could be one of the places where he could get started.

It was one of those things where it was a good college baseball game. While we were not pleased with the outcome, we were pleased with our approach and effort. We just got beat today by a good club.

We think it is another tool to help advertise and promote the golf course. If people have the visual of the golf course, just like anything else, it gives you a better (overall) picture.

We started this really for race relations, to bring people together from all races and to show that people can get along. Before the race we brought about this heritage house to promote unity.

Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. We were really pleased, especially by the (3,200) relay team that got things started with a good win.

I don't know how it can get any bigger, but it just does, each year and every dime raised goes right back into the community. And it won't just be limited to golf tournaments in the future. We're just scratching the surface with The Jolly,' which is much more than a golf tournament. It's a testament to the generous people in the community. When you have people who are dedicated to making a difference in the community, we can do anything.

Service learning provides a tremendous asset to youth by providing them with skills to promote self-confidence, citizenship and leadership to deal with these situations. Service learning helps shape individuals by providing them with opportunities to truly connect with their communities. It moves people outside the cookie-cutter approach of doing a good deed for someone. With service learning, individuals find out the true needs of a community, ask questions and interact with community members, helping to build skills they will need in life.

We've lived here for 20 years, so it's about time, ... Seriously, it's a great honor and it's a good way for us to promote the arts in Fairfield County, and promote the town of Fairfield in particular Without art, we're just another white bread community. These people who are working are mostly volunteers and it's nice that they're doing that instead of just being another person at the soccer field.
