Just keep hitting. He's been a guy that's put up some pretty impressive numbers. Defensively, he's got a way to go, but when we added him . . . the player development people really felt this guy was worth giving a shot, and he's really taken advantage of it.

We had a numbers advantage and I knew we could go at them pretty hard because I can always sub somebody in off the bench. I think we took advantage of that. Our kids are pretty quick and do a good job defensively.

They were pretty impressive defensively. They must have altered or blocked almost every shot we took inside. That was the longest team we've seen.

We got off to a good start in the second half and then hit a lull. We got in some foul trouble and got out of sync with the lineup we had in there. But defensively, our kids kept plugging away. It's a great finish. As a player, there aren't many times when you get more nervous than hitting that second shot into 16, hitting to that island green on 17 and hitting that tee shot on 18.

(Algoma Christian) really doubled down inside defensively, so we had to take a lot of outside shots in the first half, and we just shot pretty well. They weren't giving us much to work with in the post.

He's got a chance to be a pretty good ball player. He's got all the ability. He's going to get a shot, hopefully he can take advantage.

I do think the course doesn't favor any one style of play. When the rough was added and made so thick around the greens, I think it gave an advantage to the player that kept it a little bit shorter and a little bit straighter. But because the greens are small and tough to hit, there's an advantage to a guy who can hit a little bit longer. Whoever is playing well is the guy that has the advantage.
