It would be against the law for us to be asking people to get into a car without a driver's license, ... I just can't tolerate that. Everyone who drives needs to have a driver's license and proof of insurance.

If you choose to drink, then drive, be prepared to be stopped, arrested, transported to jail, booked (photographed, fingerprinted and issued a nice orange jumpsuit), hire a lawyer, post bail, see a judge, be sentenced, lose your license, serve jail time, pay a fine, pay more insurance and see your name in the paper.

You can't be absent for your first five classes and then show up for driver's ed. They knew if they missed an earlier period they couldn't go to driver's ed, and if they didn't go to driver's ed, they couldn't get their license. There was a real incentive for them to keep all their grades up.

There is no good explanation. It's uncharacteristic with a driver with a commercial driver's license. Information like this, it's unfathomable.

It's a white collar criminal act and they're gambling when they do it. You're gambling with your life. Because if you're convicted it's a felony charge. If you have a gaming license you will never again have one. If you have a business license, in some places, you may never again have one. You could go to jail.

These documents are often marketed as a way for people to drive without obtaining a valid license, or to continue driving if their government-issued license has been suspended or revoked, or as a way to avoid driver's education.

This is shocking information and there is no good explanation. It's uncharacteristic of a driver with a commercial driver's license, presuming it was Evan Parker, though that is still inconclusive.

My opinion is that anyone repeatedly driving DUI has an illness, and that illness is called alcoholism, ... Now, you've got someone with a disease, and you take away their license, and you have someone with an alcohol addiction with no license getting behind the wheel of a car. That's an additional crime, so you'll have someone going to jail. ? Now you've broken up the family and taken away the breadwinner.

In the end, my pursuit of the elusive New York State driver's license became about much more than a divorced woman's learning to drive for the first time.

Always store your bank receipts, bank records, credit card information and other personal papers in a secure location. Don't leave them lying about in your home or car. Protect any photo identification card. Don't carry your social security card in your purse. Don't use your social security number as your driver's license number, and don't print your social security number or driver's license number on your checks.

I did not go to jail to protect wrongdoing. I did not go to jail to get a large book contract or to martyr myself. Anyone who thinks I would spend 85 days in jail as a canny career move knows nothing about jail and nothing about me.

If it's on your driver's license, your next of kin still have to be asked.
