We went into the game with the idea that Ray would try to push him to a certain part of the floor and there would be help there. I thought Ray did a good job of pushing him there and then our big guys were ready to at least make him take a jump shot.

The play was designed, if they made a three, to push the ball up the floor. A.J. Abrams came to my side. I called for the ball. It was on the money. I caught it and shot it. It felt good leaving my hand, but I had no idea it was going in.

They always say the biggest hurdle is making sure that injury is battle-tested, putting yourself in a position where you are going to strain it. I've really pushed myself this week. If something fluky happens tomorrow, that's the way it is. I've been pushing and pushing and pushing to see how far I can push this injury to make sure it's good.

The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. Do guys sometimes tend to rely on three-point shot too much? Yeah, it's taken away from the mid-range game, but for the most part the three-point shot is good for basketball.

(Mack is) about 6-foot, her work ethic is good and she can shoot the jump shot. A couple colleges were at the Centennial game (Mifflin won 65-55 on Dec. 16) and they really like her because she can run the floor really well.

I told the guys to just play good defense and no make (Riley-Smith) put it on the floor and work for a shot. They did that. I'm proud of these guys. I've been preaching to these guys about finishing off games. We finished one off tonight.

We're going to do our best to maintain possession of the football. It doesn't mean just running the ball, but being efficient in our passing game and play a little keep away. The other part of his game was really good. And I thought his offense was better than what people were giving him credit for. ... Those two guys together, I think they compliment each other. I think they're good for each other. So they're both going to play a lot.

They elevate our game to another level. They're quicker, faster, they can jump higher. So that means you have to play smart. You might have to box them out so they can't jump over you. Or when you're elevating on your shot, you might have to elevate even more just because they can jump higher. The small things like that, they make the game easier for us.

We're growing as a team and that means having poise in pressure situations. When things get tight at the end of a game like that, you have to get a shot every time down the floor, make it a good shot, and knock in your free throws. We did that.
