Shavlik is a little bit stronger than people think. He can rebound the ball in traffic. Offensively, he can put the ball down on the floor. Once he gets a 15- or 16-foot jump shot, I think he can be an effective player. I think people discredit his toughness. I think as he plays a little bit more, the toughness will come out, the ball skills will come out. Right now, he?s got to work on that jump shot.

They shot almost 59 percent. We always talk about giving up jump shots and that's really what they beat us at; a jump shot game. That's their game, pushing the ball up the floor, taking advantage of mismatches, and doing the things they do.

I just feel good. I practice every day. Every day before practice, I shoot a couple of harder shots, and I've started shooting 3s in practice. My shot, I'm almost there. I shoot about a foot in front of the 3-point line.

A couple of plays before (his jump shots) I passed up a shot in the lane and Stephen Jackson got on me and told me to shoot the ball. I was looking to shoot it then.

I've been working on my jump shot lately, just going into the gym and trying to work on it and it's been paying off. These last couple of games I've been hitting big threes. At the beginning of the game I was left wide open and I just took the shot and they just happened to fall.

Folarin Campbell

I always liked the way he ran the floor, and he's willing to be real physical inside. He needs to work on his jump shot and add some weight, but he's fundamentally sound and he's a very hard worker. He'll be a very good player for us.

Rick Pitino (1952-)

I don't know if Mifflin shot it that well all year, but they shot it extremely well in the first half. It wasn't the perfect defense we were playing. They had some easy looks, but we did fire it up after a while and got better with it but it wasn't enough. Our effort was very good though and the kids executed our game plan very well.

Mack is about my favorite player of all-time. He does all the dirty work. We have drafted in the last few years a couple guys to replace Mack, because at some point, everyone's career ends. But I'll be darned, we can't do it.

Mike Holmgren (1948-)

We showed good character to keep working, even when we got behind. We picked up our work ethic, and maybe using four lines was a factor. Late in the game we had more jump and that really helped.

We went into the game with the idea that Ray would try to push him to a certain part of the floor and there would be help there. I thought Ray did a good job of pushing him there and then our big guys were ready to at least make him take a jump shot.

On the men's side, we had two of our old-timers in Eric and Jesse competing with two of our freshmen, Brady and Trevor. Jesse competed unattached tonight. He's coming off a foot injury, and he's just starting to come back. Eric was just tired after football. We've been kind of slow with him coming back. But he will be there pretty quick. His mark tonight isn't much off his personal best right now. Brady and Trevor both have a couple of events they need to work on. Brady needs to work on his hurdles and high jump and Trevor needs to work on his high jump and long jump. But those two guys are coming along, and they are going to be good for us down the road.

If you don't make her put the ball on the floor she's going to get jump shot after jump shot. She's more than capable of making them in that situation.

Anytime you go into a tournament, you want to have a winning record. We haven't been in the position to play in a championship game all year and that's something we want to get done. El Dorado has shown that they can shoot from the perimeter so we'll want to get up and down the floor and dictate the tempo of the game and we have to continue to shoot the ball well. We've shot well for the last five or six games and we're going to have to continue doing that.

Its always nice to shoot a high percentage but I think we have to understand why we were able to shoot a high percentage - our floor spacing was awesome, we were running the floor and really playing unselfish. You're not going to shoot that well every night, we got to understand why we knocked them down, and that's a good thing to take away from the game.
