For sure it was a better performance on offense. We need to take it from there, ... We've all been in these kind of predicaments before. We've been very good on the road this year; we have to go and win a game. You take the positive, and you go.

I'm very pleased with the way we played. For the first road game of the year and seeing (Channelview's) type of offense, I'm pleased with our performance.

He's a good driver of the ball. He doesn't get himself in predicaments. He certainly has a good iron game and his short game, bar none, is one of the best.

We're like a lot of teams this year on the road, and hopefully we'll have a good performance. A lot of that comes from your defense. You can't get into a scoring contest on the road and expect to win very often. Most teams play better offensively at home.

We haven't had any steam all year. That was our best performance by far all season. All year long we've had error-filled games. Our last two games we played much better defense. We're competing better. Nothing but a positive coming out of this game. We competed the most (of any game) and forced the other team to play.

It is a huge positive. Most of this year we've needed really good starting pitching to win. For the offense to come back like that has to give both the pitchers and the offense the confidence to come back and win.

We can't extrapolate from the retailers' performance in the first part of the year how retailers' will fare in the second half of the year, ... Will the holiday season be as solid as last year? I'm not sure of that yet. It may be a middle-of-the-road performance.

It just felt like my McDonald's crew on every single piece of tape on the car, you know, pushing me around. It's pretty much a good summary to what happened today. I think it's all to their credit what kind of performance we get in this qualifying. Kind of taking myself out of the picture really because in qualifying, just really put the foot down and it's all about the team effort. Obviously they proved to be extremely good at that. So during the race it's a bit different story, and you have to have a good ending in traffic. Hopefully we'll be able to achieve that again as well as we did last year. It should be a good race. It was really spectacular last year.

I give credit to the offense tonight. The guys scored some runs, and that's big. It's a huge positive. For most of the year, we needed really good starting pitching to win. This has got to give the pitchers and offense both a lot of confidence.

Last year's game greatly motivated us. We knew our offense was good enough to win. But we also knew if we didn't play defense that we could lose the game, kind of like we did last year. We picked up the defense, picked up the intensity and took the win.

It was a performance that we needed. Defensively, that was one of our better games. Our defense contributed to our offense and a lot of times it's the other way around. You like to have a game like that this time of the year.

We are very disappointed with our year-to-date financial performance and have not yet seen a positive turn in our operational performance,

We are a different club and we are probably not as offensively as potent as we were last year. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. We certainly don't have the possibility to break a game open with the long balls like we did last year. We're a little bit younger in our offense, but somehow we found a way. Our pitching is more solid than it was last year from top to bottom. Our bullpen has been good on the balance of the year and having Andy Pettitte healthy has helped our rotation quite a bit. We are probably a little stronger in the pitching department and probably a little weaker in the offense department.

This is the kind of result and performance that I think everybody understands why we are champion and why we are so close to being champion again. Our bad run is still a positive run. but this game was one where the players were very, very keen ... to win.

As far as our offense goes -- he was our offense last year. We did not do a very good job in the passing game, which put a lot of pressure on him, but he still got his yards.
