We don't have the luxury of being far enough ahead in the playoff race to be able to find positives when we don't win. The results overwhelm everything else.

We've got to find a few things that will change the results, ... There were some positives but we're still a ways away (from becoming a competitive team).

It keeps us right in that playoff spot. The race is very early, but it keeps us ahead of the game.

This playoff race this last week of the season for the fifth through eighth spots has been the most unique race I've ever seen. With two days to go there's not a playoff (pairing) set in the East. It's amazing.

I don't have the luxury to work on anything. I'm just going to go compete and ... try to get hitters out like I have from day one. Certain guys have the luxury of easing into the situation, but from the get-go I feel I have to pitch well and have good results.

We just got beat 31-7; it's hard to find any positives. I'm not a guy that finds positives out of a 31-7 game.

This is not a team that we've had the luxury to look ahead a lot this year. We've been doing so much of trying to learn how to function in the here and now that it really becomes challenging to look ahead. When you look ahead too far, it becomes a distraction.

The big thing is, there is no tension on this team. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. I've been with some (Houston) clubs going down the stretch in a playoff race, and teams get on edge. On this club, everyone is so relaxed it's almost like they don't care. But the results say otherwise.

The market tried to race higher ahead of those results, but there was still uncertainty as to what Cisco would say about future quarters.

Every game from here on out is going to have significance in the playoff race. It's that simple, no matter who you are playing, if it's in your division or in your conference or whatever. Every game that we play is going to have significance on the playoff race.

I'd love to be in the thick of a playoff race right now -- and the chances are very slim for us now -- but the mathematical chance is still there. Either way, you use this time to prepare for next season, to find something out about people.

First, the domestic luxury share fell dramatically, and second, Japanese luxury vehicles accounted for nearly one of every four new luxury vehicles sold.

Those teams are all playing for playoff position, too, so you don't want to fool around. We've been in that (playoff-race) mode for quite a while. We're going to have to be at our best from here on in.

He's going through that natural period where people want to nitpick the very few negatives he may have instead of extolling all his positives. And in a little over 31 minutes a game he averages 18 and 8. He comes to work every day. He's totally selfless. Yet some want to badger the guy about whatever perceived shortcomings he has. I find that unfortunate because if they spent half the time looking at all his positives it would be a much better story.
