One of the reasons why they were not going to play was that while we were in the playoff race Chris (Webber) and Allen (Iverson) were playing with a few injuries and they tried to continue to play. You don't want to get caught up watching the standings. It's a tight race and it can shift. Every game from here on out is going to have significance in the playoff race. It's that simple.

Obviously we want to get back in the playoff race, and he is our main guy. When you are playing international competition like that, it is draining, emotionally and physically. Hopefully he will come back with a lot of confidence and will be ready to make a playoff run.

There are still concerns at both the top and the bottom. The goal would be to get a tighter range that would ensure that even more than 20 clubs at Labor Day still have a chance to compete for playoff spots, that playoff spots are based on skill and talent and blossoming stars and not just on plugging holes with economics.
