en Heather pitched a great game and besides really one (Plant) hit, nothing was hit very hard. It was a great way to get the playoffs started.

en We haven't decided on the (location of the) playoffs yet, but that's where we're going to be, though. We'll get that one a little bit later. We've got time to work that one out. But after yesterday's game (a 23-20 Saints win at Carolina), our goal right now is to be in the playoffs. That's where we're going to be. Like LSU, they had one great game on Saturday. en Rudy (Brown's nickname) was the key to the game. He was throwing hard, and was ahead of the count most of the night. Even when he got behind, they didn't have great swings. He pitched a great game, and really controlled the game.

en I thought we played well as a team. Will pitched a great game, and we were able to get Zach some pitches. He hadn't pitched since district started. Now we've got a week off to get ready for our showdown with Atlanta.

However, the new players we have brought in have excellent skills and experience. They will fit in just fine, and pick up where Heather left off.

en It's always a little nerve-wracking to come back here, but it's fun. There were a lot of great memories. We started something here and they took it to the next step when they made the playoffs two years ago. That's great.

en We came out a little flat today, but our defense was solid. Thankfully, we manufactured a few runs early and then started playing better. And Russell Allen pitched another great game for us.

en We could tell he (Thompson) was getting tired in the seventh inning. He started to hang a few pitches. The temptation was to throw him back out there for the eighth because he pitched such a great game but he gave us all he had.
