We're adding a coach to our staff who has won three national championships. He brings a championship work ethic and a championship legacy with him to Oregon State.

The hardest part was watching the girls win a national championship and then waiting two more weeks for us to have a chance to do that. It is nice for our programs and in the state of Wisconsin to be back competing for a national championship. It is something we work for all year. It is hard work and dedication that got us here.

It is a privilege to add coach Horner to our staff. He brings championship experience and is well-respected by high school coaches throughout the state of Iowa and the Midwest.

I am pleased to announce Jeff to the title of Associate Head Coach. Over the past five years of working with him, he has proven to be valuable member of our staff. Our players have benefited so much from his teachings and his knowledge of the game. Jeff continues to represent our program with the utmost professionalism and his tireless work ethic continues to make our team be the best it can be. I look forward to working with him as we defend our National Championship.

Coach Royal and I have talked about this from the beginning. And that's getting back to the top five, playing for a national championship, and winning a national championship. Young people come to Texas and USC to play in these games.

With his optimism and with the new enthusiasm that a new coach always brings, I think he can take it to the championship level, and I will be surprised if he doesn't win the championship. Not that it will be easy, but he's a very talented individual.

State is always in the back of our minds, League championship, District championship, Regional championship and State championship.

Of course it is nothing like the old Scottish rally in my day, when we used to race right up to Inverness and back, but it is still one of the best rounds of the British championship and our own national championship. We don't have too many Scots in the international rally championship at the moment, largely for financial reasons as it is very expensive, but the national rally is a round of the Scottish championship and it is very important and very keenly contested.

Our goal is a state championship. We keep things in perspective and we know we have work to do - but, yes, we expect to win the state championship.

Going into this year, I expected nothing less than a state championship. Playing with these guys is a real blessing because we have such a great work ethic and a drive to win.

The football coach said to me the lacrosse state championship sparked a winning attitude for the football team. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. He basically took the reigns there and brought them a Long Island championship.
