Last year we knew we were going to be on par with the year before. This year we're going to have to make more adjustments and people are going to have to step up.

Last year, we had (Brandon) McPherson and Donald (Cloutier) and Tyler (Morris). The year before we had Penny and Stefan Routt. These are guys that were awfully good basketball players. When you think of the Marion teams (that won three straight state titles in the '80s), it was all the same kids. They didn't have to make all the adjustments (from year to year).

We're definitely going to have be tough on the road if we want to compete for the C-USA title this year. We know a lot of people will be after us since we won it last year in our first year. Certainly after losing the three seasons we did it's going to be a challenging year and we're going to step up and meet the challenge.

Last year, I didn't do much scoring, because we had people like Leonard, Sean Glenn and J.P, but I knew those guys would be gone this year and I had to step it up.

A lot of people, they get all caught up in the New Year's resolution thing and I think it gives them an easy way, later, to say, 'Oh, that was just a New Year's resolution' and not take it seriously. People who really want to make changes can make them any day of the year, whether it be the Jewish New Year, the Chinese New Year or any day that suits them. You've got every day of your life to make changes.

He's doing a nice job. This year, coming into camp, we finally started to talk to him about his mechanics and what our plans are for him this spring. Last year, we let him come in and get used to the program. Now, we're taking it to step two and really getting focused on making some adjustments to prepare him for the season.

You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important. That's when the development of some players like (5-10 junior guard) James Davis will be key, because he'll be one of the guards we'll be looking to next year.

Absolutely. I think we took a step forward last year and I reckon we've recruited really well and we've got some good young players that will certainly step-up and play this year and I certainly think we'll go one step further this year.

One of his biggest attributes is his ability to make adjustments. When we look back at the end of the year, we're going to see a guy who's had an outstanding year.

I've made a lot of adjustments from last year -- I got into a long swing mode -- [but] it feels really good now. Offensively, I took a little bit of a step back and had to get it back going in the other direction this year.

2006 is a very different year, we've had to face very unique challenges. To balance this year we've had to make some extraordinary adjustments.

I think they all took it upon themselves to step it up this year and they have. Last year I think there was more pressure on everybody because I think people expected us to do even better than we did. He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness. This year the maturity level has come into play as Grade 12s and they're dealing with it very well.

There are in every year, year-end adjustments that do take place, ... Sometimes those adjustments can be as high as seven or eight billion dollars depending on the circumstances.

This year I feel like I'm better at the plate. Every year I make adjustments.
