Last year, I didn't do much scoring, because we had people like Leonard, Sean Glenn and J.P, but I knew those guys would be gone this year and I had to step it up.

Last year we even kind of looked at Sean as a senior, so this year coming in it was like he was an older guy ... a veteran. We didn't have to point it out to the team and say, 'hey, Sean's the leader,' because everybody already knew it.

Last year and the year before that we didn't have anyone who is scoring all of our goals. It's hard for our opponents to key on any one player, because is one guy isn't having a good night, someone else is going to step up for us.

We are different than last year. We don't have a big home run hitter. We still run the bases well. Last year the guys worked hard, but they didn't know how good they could be. This year they knew there were some high expectations.

Last year we knew we were going to be on par with the year before. This year we're going to have to make more adjustments and people are going to have to step up.

I think we're still working out the kinks with that. This year, coach hasn't specifically pointed out those guys (who are the top scoring options) so I mean I think everybody is trying to step up and become those guys.

Last year I changed our vision of what we were going to recruit in preparation of what I knew we were going to do. That's why we didn't take a quarterback last year. The guys that we could have taken would have have fit into this mobility scheme that we have. And these guys, they fit that.

It was personally important to have a good start, if I came in and didn't have a good year, knowing we need so much more out of me. Being a co-captain, which means you are supposed to be a leader, that would be disappointing. Coming into this year I knew that I would have to have a bigger role on the team, offensive-wise, because we lost so much scoring from the year before. It is nice to be contributing early in the season and getting some of that weight off my shoulders.

Obviously those guys are going to be tough to replace. But we lost three talented guards last year and had guys step up this year. We'll still be tenacious defensively, and I'm sure we'll have guys step up again next season.

There are changes every year, different personalities. This year, we're pretty close to each other compared to other teams. Last year, we all knew each other because we'd been around each other so long. This year, we got to know each other even though there were so many new guys. I was excited to have all these new guys come in. It was a challenge but refreshing to start again.

You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important. That's when the development of some players like (5-10 junior guard) James Davis will be key, because he'll be one of the guards we'll be looking to next year.

I looked in Kevin Glenn's eyes and I seen him looking at Milt Stegall the whole way and I just knew I had to step up. I stepped in front and made the play and got down so I didn't fumble the ball.

That's our main concern. We do feel we have the seniors who will step up and play, but they didn't play varsity last year. Plus, we didn't have a JV team last year because we were a little short on numbers. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. So these guys haven't had a lot of game experience.

I was telling the guys over here that was the one thing they didn't do last year: execute with runners in scoring position. But I tip my cap to the guys for executing like that.

There were people who said that at the start of the year Sean would have taken over (the team). But Eddie's concern was that he didn't want to leave him an inexperienced team. Otherwise, I think he might have turned it over at the start of this year. At least those were some of the rumors going around with the coaches.
