We played the European champions today, and we should have won that game. But there's a lot of encouragement to be taken, especially the lineout contesting, which was excellent. Nick Kennedy was superb.

Nick had quite a day today. Nick was clearly the best player on the field today and was dangerous any time he got the ball. Their defense was struggling to keep up with him. People don't realize how fast he is, they underestimated his speed and they got burned today.

Brian has a complete game. He serves extremely well. His ground strokes are excellent, volleys are superb.

Congratulations to Texas, they played an excellent football game. The team, coaches and players really executed well and made big plays. Our compliments go out to them. They are an excellent football team, which we knew coming in, and they showed it again today.

I thought they played an excellent game. I know they've been struggling with their rebounding, and I think they took it out on us today.

Cal played an excellent game today and they deserved to win. The end result is we played good enough to lose by seven. The disappointing aspect is it was a loss. The positive aspect is that we exhibited resiliency. We know we could have won that game. We fell short for a number of reasons, but I believe this was a solid beginning to what's to come for this program. And I look forward to getting right back to it after Christmas.

I hope it will be like a European game. It will be better for us. We have a clearer idea in the Champions League and maybe we will have more confidence.

Our running game was superb today. We moved the sticks. We didn't get it off the ground the first couple weeks, but today it was tremendous.

I thought we played some superb rugby in the first half; we played well in the last 10 minutes again to win the game and that's probably a summary,

The lineout should be a contest. I spoke to Clive (Woodward, coach of the Lions) on Tuesday and we spoke about the numbers in the lineout.

Liz is an All-American. She played a great game. Lindsay's always attacking. She played 40 minutes without a turnover. Liz and Lindsay played superb. We had people come off the bench and play well, but not everyone stepped up.
