en I think when you think of certain teams, they take on the personality of their city. I think this is a tough city. I think this is a smart city that knows football. It's a straightforward city. I think that's what we have to be.

en Like in every city, some are healthy, some suffer. We try to establish a criteria and separate one mega city from another. The crucial points we look for are that the city has to be a critical place (whether regionally or globally speaking) and it needs to have a critical system which the entire city depends on,

en Some expenditures, like the city buying flowers for sick or deceased relatives of city employees, or the city giving certain gifts to retiring city employees could be looked at as potential areas of abuse and need to be addressed in the policy. We need one set of standards for all departments.

en Things like this, you get embarrassed. Things like this, when it happens, you get mad. Things like this, you get disappointed, but then you do something about it. And I have challenges in my life, personal and publicly, and I will overcome these challenges. And whether it deals with corruption in this thing or any other issue, I just want to make this city the best city,

en I'm not saying it's the city's fault. But I'm saying it's the city's fault that those two dogs are walking around the city attacking people. And I think that the city should do something about helping her to the best of their ability.

en In many ways, things are better than they were 30 years ago. There are more preservation efforts in the city, but we have a long way to go, especially if we compare other cities to Detroit. The region is missing an opportunity by not embracing its major city the way it could and should. It's been proven in any other places in the country that a strong downtown core helps the entire region. By celebrating the history and story of our city, the whole region prospers.

en This is a city that's had a terrible tragedy, but there's an opportunity to build it back and build it back better. It could become a city that integrates rather than isolates, a city that inspires, a city that celebrates history and diversity and culture and people.
