The Olympic break actually worked to my advantage. We had the time to make sure it felt right. Now I'm ready to get going.

They provide us with the Olympic break and we have to take advantage of it. Our expectation will be for our players to come back fresh and ready.

The thing that has surprised me is his consistency. As a rookie, it's tough to maintain your level of play throughout the year and he's played well from day one. Since the Olympic break, he's gotten more ice time and he's really taken advantage of that. I think the work he did early in the season is paying off.

I never lost faith in my abilities, ... Even when things got rough and I wasn't getting any fights, I always believed in myself. I was depressed after not being able to capitalize on being a member of the (1996) Olympic team but I trained hard and worked and waited for my opportunity. Robbie has fought it a bit. I think the [Olympic] break is going to help him a bit health-wise. I think after he got hurt and since he has come back, he hasn't been the same player. I just want to get him to the break. I think he's a little bit nicked up, and hopefully with a little rest he can come back and be ready.

I don't think it was much of a surprise to Adam. When he was a freshman, he asked, 'Do you think I can make the Olympic team?' At the time, he didn't have a throw that would even put him in the Olympic trials. He's consumed with doing the best he can.

The break was a good thing. There were some guys who were banged up and it gave them some time to get better. It was a good time to have the break. I thought we might have been a little winded. But (the break) wasn't bad for us. I think we're ready to go.

The break came at a good time for us physically and mentally. Now we are ready to make a run.
