I'm concerned a little ordsprog

en I'm concerned a little bit that it may go through our team. If anybody does come back positive, we'll try to start them on some antibiotics. This is the time of year, but I don't use that as an excuse. . . . We all have to deal with challenges and different things that happen throughout the course of the year.

en I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

en Seems like every year at this time I give you an excuse. Then I say what has to be done, and we do it, and the next year there's a different excuse. But what they've done this year is pack the team with so much talent that we won't be able to blow it. We're so loaded that there just won't be any excuses.

en It felt like after '83 and '84 that you'd be back there next year, big deal. This is going to be one of those things where you're in the playoffs every year. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen.

en Maybe last year was the year of injuries and things. Maybe from now on, nothing will happen. That's the way I look at it. When negative things happen, you can't look at the negative. You've got to look at the positive. Last year was a difficult year, but this year I feel is going to be a better year.

en As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

en It is that time of year when players are concerned about their future. And that is a bit of distraction, but that is not a reason or excuse. Some are playing for new contracts and it is just a tricky time of year.

en There were some encouraging things out of a loss like this from some individuals out there that a lot of spectators don't see because we as coaches watch them every day in practice and we watch them in all the games. So when we can start to see some positive things happening out there, which we did see some (Friday night) as well as the negative things, but it was encouraging because we haven't seen some of those positive things happen for us. Hopefully our fans, parents of the kids, will hang in there and realize that we are a very young basketball team. They've got a lot of heart. They try hard. They don't ever give up. They don't quit. There's no quit in this team. Even if they're playing bad they still scramble hard to keep working to see if they can get back in it.

en No regrets. Absolutely, no regrets. I had an amazing time here, and it was everything that I wanted. I had a lot of positive things happen on and off the field this year, so I feel like, if I had to do it over again, I'd definitely come back.

en In the past we would have let the slide happen. Everyone who was back from last year got together and said that we weren't going to let the snowball happen again this year. The coaches and the players were all positive, and we've been playing with a lot of confidence.

en I didn't, to be honest with you, have any time frame as far as we wanted to be here after Year 3 or Year 4. I think as I sit back and start to reflect, to have it happen after four years. ... that's pretty quick.

en It was what it was last year. You kind of expected things to happen the way they did. This year's a different year and everybody's looking at it with a positive attitude.

en He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

en It's the start of the new year. We're coming off of a break - we haven't played since Dec. 10. So you want to start the new year off on a positive note, and I think a big goal for our team in the second half is to play better defensive hockey.

en This team is the real deal. Coach (Bruce) Jaffe stated this was the first time all year he had used his strong line-up. Too bad we had to start it. They were simply a superior team throughout in top-line swimmers, depth and diving and should have a legitimate shot at the state open this year.

en I just wanted, definitely, on behalf of the team to say thanks to Burlington and the fans who supported us throughout the year. You guys are unbelievable. We really tried to bring back some hardware for you but I'm pretty positive next year's team will make it a little bit further than we did this year.
