In Scotland there is ordsprog

en In Scotland, there is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes.

en If you want Scotland to be part of the UK but you think it's heading in the wrong direction - and there are many things that show it is - the thing to do is vote Conservative next week.

en It's an awkward thing for the four home countries to do that. It would cause an awful lot of problems. We have to make sure Scotland doesn't lose its independence. I'd much prefer Scotland than having a British team.

en The way it works is that you can spend forever continuing to do things. It could be this thing went wrong plus that thing went wrong and another thing went wrong. But the likelihood is extremely remote and so we sort of draw the line.

en The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair
  Douglas Adams

en It's the same information the Blue Ribbon Committee has worked off of and the players' association has, everybody has. It's very disappointing and just plain wrong. It's one thing to be wrong and it's another thing to know when you do it that you're wrong and you just go ahead and do it anyway. I find that hard to believe.

en Even the weather page is in a state of moral decay. What’s wrong with red, white and blue, USA Today? This rainbow weather map is just another example of the homometerological agenda.

en It is wrong. This whole thing is wrong. For medical decisions to be made on the basis of a payer source is wrong. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. It just shouldn't be. I understand the economic pressures on physicians, but this is wrong.

en The whole thing is still bigger than it was when it was announced. When it comes to the scale and density, all the reasons we oppose it still exist. The eminent domain is wrong, the arena is wrong, the cost is wrong, and the impact on the community is wrong.

en I mean you looked at me, and you could tell something was wrong. But I also lied through my teeth. Because you don't want to say the wrong thing, or the bad thing -- the thing that's going to make your life more complicated. You just want to say everything is fine.

en A few years ago you couldn't find a star who wasn't baring her navel. One thing that's so interesting (about the trend) is how beauty and sexuality can be conveyed through a lot of clothes as opposed to few clothes. That's something women can learn from.

en Britain has come on tenfold, but to be selfish about it we're all Scottish at the moment. It's about us. We'll go back to the British thing in a bit, but for the moment we've got to take all the praise and all the success for Scotland until we go back to competing for Britain because we don't get to compete for Scotland very often. We want to make the most of it, so I'm not having any of the limelight taken away by Britain at the moment, to be honest.

en You had to make sure that you came to work with clothes that were appropriate to the weather.

en I'm skin and bone when they see me. I'm tall and skinny. The first thing the wife said to her husband was, 'feed him.' They kept me for almost two weeks. I asked them where they got the clothes they gave me. They said their teenage son was arrested and they hadn't seen him anymore. They gave me his clothes.

en Obviously, he was getting in out of the weather. (He was at the) wrong place at the wrong time.
