Our guys got on a roll offensively and just didn't let up. For the whole series that's the best we've hit one through nine. With the tying run at the plate, everyone in that lineup you approach as if they can hit a home run. Young hit a tough pitch. He showed why he's leading the major leagues in hits. I just tried to keep the ball down against Teixeira.

You could probably get carried away with superlatives when it comes to Frank Thomas. He's arguably one of the greatest offensive players of his generation.

He was one of the most consistent hitters on our team in 2003. His approach at the plate is balanced. Can he hit .300? I think he can. I told him today and he'll move in the lineup if he produces. That goes for anybody else.
