We're asking drivers along that area to watch out for anything that seems unusual.

We usually have a good neighborhood watch program. So we keep watch out for anything that's unusual but unfortunately somebody outsmarted us.

The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

As we continue to have development in that area, we are seeing an increase in traffic at that intersection, and a driveway that close to an intersection is nothing but a problem because drivers at both sides are trying to figure out where the other is going. It's very confusing for drivers at that intersection.

It's not terribly unusual. The southeast Tennessee seismic zone, which actually extends from that area up toward Knoxville, is probably the second most active area in the Eastern United States.

Operation TIPS is simply a reporting system -- not a membership organization or recruiting activity -- based upon successful existing non-governmental programs like Highway Watch, River Watch and Coast Watch, which enable American workers to report unusual and non-emergency issues that they observe in the normal course of their work. Several of these industries have requested a uniform method of reporting such matters to public authorities.

Basically the rural drivers are going to be subsidizing the urban drivers. (Insurance companies) need to get enough money to cover all their risks. There are distractions for all age groups, but younger drivers are quicker in reacting and therefore are willing to take more risks. Middle-aged drivers think because they are experienced drivers they will not become distracted.

Elderly drivers, despite the popular driver notion, are not the big risk. Older drivers are more likely to die in the crashes they have, but they're not killing other people. Teen drivers are.

I really try to stick to the same roads when I drive. I also really have to watch other drivers around me who get aggravated with my driving.

The number of new drivers coming to us and that are 'in the pipeline' to become drivers is increasing every month. Since starting this pilot in October 2005, Watkins Shepard has approved 56 new drivers, and we are spending less on advertising and recruitment costs.
