en It is going to be a very successful program, but we need to get the word out and it is going to take awhile to get the kinks worked out.

en There's obviously a lot of confusion at the start of any major new program, but the real test will come in 9 or 10 months when seniors have made the selection of a plan and some of the initial kinks have been worked out.

en I'm losing a friend and a colleague. He's definitely one of the best coaches I've ever worked with. Basically, he's taken this program places it's never been before. That's all you can ask of a coach. I'm sure he'll be successful at the next level.

en The Apollo program was about flags and footprints, and it was effective in helping to win the Cold War with the Soviet Union. The Apollo leadership also managed to tack on some science activities, but they were definitely afterthoughts. But those times have passed, and we must move beyond the Apollo concept to embrace a more engaging and sustained approach. I hope this program is successful in doing this. I will be properly ecstatic if program officials are successful in doing so.

en This team has more experience than this program has seen in awhile. I have to compliment the city's youth soccer program. We're definitely seeing the benefits.

en We started bright and early this morning. All things considering, we did well but there are some kinks to be worked out.

en There are things we needed to be more organized on, but we'll get those kinks worked out for the next time we have an emergency. We did a lot of good, too, though.

en I'm looking forward to racing in Nashville this weekend. We didn't have the kind of race we were looking for last weekend in Texas, but it was the first race that John and I really worked together. en It's a tremendous program. I've been here for 11 years and we've seen some of the youngsters who have come through the program and graduated college. It's very successful. It's kind of neat to see kids at this age, in the eighth grade, ready to embark into their high school years and be able to feel that the Padres have had something to do with it, which can lead to very long and successful careers.

en [The VPP program is] designed to change the safety culture of participants, ... His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. The reason the program is successful is because it sells itself. This program makes a difference. It saves lives and reduces costs. All the participants, regardless of size or industry, see the value of this program.
