Crude oil inventories increased once more, improving oil availability further. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. Another important factor is that above-normal temperatures in the U.S. seem to curb heating oil consumption.

Crude inventories remain sturdy, despite today's unexpected drop.

There's not enough natural gas to substitute for heating oil. So this will help support crude oil prices. What we need is not (crude) oil but heating oil and natural gas. Unfortunately, there's no strategic reserves for them.

Despite the surprise 1.3 million-barrel drop in DOE crude stocks for last week, inventories in the market remain near April 1999 highs.

Economic trends favor the occurrence of write-downs at other companies. Crude oil prices have been cut in half and product inventories (remain at record levels). The thing that I think is more telling is that (these companies) are taking write-downs now in anticipation that crude prices will be low for the next few years.

We're worried about two things as we sit here at the beginning of November: natural gas inventories and heating oil inventories, which make up part of that distillate number,

Nigeria isn't enough to continue to push crude oil prices higher due to current ample supplies in the U.S.. Gasoline inventories remain above the upper end of the five-year range since early February.

It's because we've had such an explosive rise in heating oil prices -- I don't think we've ever seen such a dramatic increase in the spread between heating oil and crude.

We're seeing quite a bit of cold weather, particularly in the northeastern states. As a result, they're using more home heating oil. That puts pressure on heating oil, crude oil and gasoline prices.

Although crude oil inventories remain high relative to recent history, fears of future disruptions are encouraging further inventory increases, which tend to support prices [and] create a positive feedback loop.

Crude inventories went in the opposite direction to the consensus view among analysts. That's taken crude oil up a little higher.

Crude below $60 is helping a little bit. There's some speculation that there's a potential build-up in crude inventories, so that might be a factor leading into the rally in the Nasdaq and S&P.
