It's not a great time for high yield.

In a low-yield environment, there was a lot of interest in high-yield markets such as the Icelandic. But with yields on the rise in Europe and the U.S., we want to see a lot more quality before we feel comfortable investing, as high yields alone are no longer enough.

U.S. High Yield Monthly: Cautionary Flags. However, the below 3.0% growth projected for the second-half of the year and into 2007 has historically not favored the high yield market, and a cautionary position on this asset class remains.

(We like) stocks with a moderately high dividend give that stock support. In the long-term, I think there is quite a lot of institutional money that might just want to simply have a yield, a relatively high yield, with perhaps a little bit of growth potential in it.
