There was some pressure. Not all of those were blitzes. So, some were, and some weren't.

They're still blitzes that every team does. They just do it more than anybody probably. So it's not like I haven't seen the blitzes. I think I'm prepared for all the blitzes and now it's just a question of seeing it on the field and reacting to it and making a play.

Some of those weren't blitzes. Some of them were spies. We were about 10 percent higher than we normally were.

Coach usually does a good job of just mixing things up. But this year he wanted to try to get a lot of pressure with the front four. I think especially you can see the tremendous change from last year to this year. ..... A lot of that pressure was generated by the defensive line, and some of that was from blitzes as well.

It's just repetition, going over it, seeing blitzes more, knowing how people are going to line up and attack us with certain blitzes.

On your home court, you want to be able to grab the game by the throat and put pressure on them. Instead the pressure wound up being on us. We weren't eager, we weren't sharp, and at the end the basket got awful small for us.

If they bring some blitzes, hopefully I can make a guy miss and get out of there. They have a great defense so they are going to have a great plan, whether it is trying to keep me in the pocket or put a lot of pressure on me. But when they do blitz, I noticed that they're really precise. There's not a lot of wasted motion. They cut the corners real quick; they don't take any blitzes out too wide. When they run their stunts, it's the same things. I haven't seen any team run stunts and blitzes quite like them.

We'll find out this weekend because Howard has an excellent defense that's ranked nationally. They bring a lot of pressure (and) blitzes so I think this may end up being the determining game as to who will emerge as quarterback for us.

We weren't used to that kind of pressure. They came out physical and we weren't used to that much contact without fouls being called.

It's identifying the kind of pressure they're bringing and making sure everyone is doing their role on offense. On offense, you have to account for everybody. You try to figure exactly the way they're game-planning their blitzes and call your plays that are designed to counteract those pressures.

My mobility makes me one of those people that likes to get out of the pocket. If they bring some blitzes, then hopefully I can make a guy miss and get out of there. Every quarterback they have played, especially during [their six-game winning] streak, they have been able to put a lot of pressure on. They have forced them to make a lot of quick decisions.
