For the LORD will not cast off for ever: / But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more? / Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? / Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, / I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: / And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, / Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: / And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; / Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him; / Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little.

And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel; / That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless, or that my lord hath avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember thine handmaid.
