The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.

And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

In any culture, subculture, or family in which belief is valued above thought, and self-surrender is valued above self-expression, and conformity is valued above integrity, those who preserve their self-esteem are likely to be heroic exceptions

What the implications of this will be in terms of relations between Ethiopia and the EU we will have to wait and see. But I don't think you will be surprised if Ethiopia were to insist that it should not be patronised.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ethiopia is being restored. Ethiopia does not want anything more beyond reclaiming its invaded land and it will not accept anything less.
