Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: / But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

And it is not attributable to a prophet that he should act unfaithfully; and he who acts unfaithfully shall bring that in respect of which he has acted unfaithfully on the day of resurrection; then shall every soul be paid back fully what it has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! / Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
