en Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

en Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: / And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

en Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren: / And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.

en Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

en When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

en Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

en Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.

en Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

en Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

en [For thousands of years, Jewish holidays have been celebrated under the] Jerusalem Sky ... synagogue stars, church crosses, mosque moons meet under the Jerusalem sky and merge their shadows ... and with prayers for peace and miracles all addressed to one God, hope lights the Jerusalem sky.

en Truly unexpected tidings make both ears tingle.

en O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! / Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

en And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

en And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

en And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
