If you think that this (body) takes birth and dies perpetually, even then, O Arjuna, you should not grieve like this.

The knowledge sacrifice is superior to any material sacrifice, O Arjuna. Because, all actions in their entirety culminate in knowledge.

Just as Batman won't take another life to achieve his own ends, it makes sense to me that he wouldn't condone altering someone's consciousness – another way of taking someone's life – for the same reason.

O Lord! I accept that supreme knowledge, which is extraordinary, protector of all and which leads to the path of truth....... the knowledge which nourishes with 'thousand streams' and which is acquired by capable scholars with great efforts.

Knowing that, O Arjuna, you shall not again get deluded like this. By this knowledge you shall behold the entire creation in your own Self/Lord, or in Brahman.

Learning is acquired by reading books; but the much more necessary learning, the knowledge of the world, is only to be acquired by reading man, and studying all the various editions of them.

Knowing these two paths, O Arjuna, a yogi is not bewildered at all. Therefore, O Arjuna, be steadfast in yoga (of meditation) at all times.

The deities acquired knowledge from the Vedas and human beings too should emulate the deities and acquire knowledge in the same manner.

What is the need for this detailed knowledge, O Arjuna? I continually support the entire universe by a small fraction of My energy.

Science is often misrepresented as ”the body of knowledge acquired by performing replicated controlled experiments in the laboratory.” Actually, science is something broader: the acquisition of reliable knowledge about the world.
