It doesn't have to be a trip to the moon. Children will remember (parents' stories) far beyond that fancy toy you worked overtime to buy them.
Bev Twillmann
Children see in their parents the past, their parents see in them the future; and if we find more love in the parents for their children than in children for their parents, this is sad but natural. Who does not entertain his hopes more than his recollections.

We have 1,000 stories like this. Our group is not saying that children don't have attention or behavior problems. Some kids do. But why should we force parents to drug their children so they can attend school?
Patricia Weathers
We understand the concern of the parents. Our first concern, of course, was the safety of the children. When TSU informed us that the building was dangerous, we moved very quickly to relocate the children. Officials here have worked many hours since then to find a permanent home for MCTC and have had many discussions with parents to keep them updated on the search.
Terry Abbott
If you want people to remember something, don't give them a list. Tell them a story. We remember the stories of Adam and Eve and Noah's Ark. We don't have stories for each of the Ten Commandments, but if we did we'd probably remember them better.

For example, parents who talk a lot to their children have kids with better language skills, parents who spank have children who grow up to be violent, parents who are neither too authoritarian or too lenient have children who are well-adjusted, and so on. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness.

The car trip can draw the family together, as it was in the days before television when parents and children actually talked to each other.
Andrew H. Malcolm
Parents and children seldom act in concert: each child endeavours to appropriate the esteem or fondness of the parents, and the parents, with yet less temptation, betray each other to their children.

Since we're in a small town, it's easy for people to assume they know all about the children, so I tried to approach it as if we knew nothing about the children. That way, the parents can tell us everything we need to know about their child, and there won't be any mistaken assumptions. Some of the parents like to (jokingly) call it a novel, but I think it's important for us to know as much as possible about the children we'll be caring for.
Jamie Simmons
There is no greater reason for children to honour parents than for parents to honour children except, that while the children are young, the parents are stronger than children.

He's done a marvelous job at Moon. It's no surprise. I remember when he was working with me, how hard he worked -- breaking down film, scouting and knowing the opponent. He's doing the same thing there and having his team prepared. He's doing a great job with his kids.

It's a beautiful program, and I'm so fortunate to get so much help. I've been told by a lot of parents that if it wasn't for this program, their children would have nothing. We have to remember them. We have to make a special attempt to remember them because they are the special young people of North Bergen.
Netta Meltzer
There have been a couple times when parents have given their children ibuprofen or something before they come so their children don't have fevers when they get here. I wish all the parents would be more faithful and honest about it. Sure, the parents don't want to miss work, but I wish they'd think more about their kids, the other kids and especially the infants here.
Tara Miller
Parents with meager means have the same aspirations for their children as other parents. Children from poor families have the same needs as other children.
Mark Sanford
While only a rag doll with a few red yarn strands of hair, she has been loved for generations. Parents enjoy the positive memories of their own childhood and sharing those stories with their children.
