We're in the process of assessing and refining our growth strategy, and the same concepts that were behind our operational changes will be at work here: simplicity, focus, alignment, and execution.

IT organizations need to implement IT controls for compliance management without increasing architectural complexity. Highly complementary airline alliances and mergers can bring important benefits to passengers by connecting networks, offering new services and generating efficiencies across the aviation value chain. However, this has to take place within a competitive environment. It is vital that the economic benefits of an airline alliance or merger are passed on to passengers.

The government has to rethink its anti-trust policy on airline mergers. Otherwise, future liquidations are inevitable.
