That guy is a pretty good player. But what I thought tonight was that his shots were limited.

I thought he missed some shots, but he made plays. Sometimes I look at a player's ability to get good shots and he got good shots. I thought he also did a nice job on Ray Allen .

I thought that we started with [defensive] good intensity. But it just seemed to me that when our shots are not going, it seems to affect us on both ends of the court. I thought tonight it affected defense as much as it did offense. We got great shots today -- we were not taking bad shots for the most part. But when they don't go down, it starts to affect what you do defensively.

One of our main keys tonight was that if we limited their second shots, we would have a chance. In the first half, I thought we did a great job of that. ... We wish at times that we were 6-(foot)-4, 6-5, but you've got to play with what you're dealt.

To do special things you need have special players and special performances. Obviously you saw one tonight from Chris Lofton. We did a pretty good job of getting him open and guys did a pretty good job of turning shots down to get him shots because he (Lofton) clearly had a pretty good chance of making what he put up. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. To do special things you need have special players and special performances. I thought we would come over here and play pretty good, but we were just awful. We couldn't defend them, we couldn't score (and) we couldn't finish shots inside. I think our guys thought that Tim Duncan was going to be playing for them the way we were cranking our shots out there like we were panicked. That's been a problem for us and it was pretty obvious this game.

About three of the kicks tonight, when I hit them I thought they were good. I got a little unlucky and they went right or left. The last one tonight, I thought I hit it pretty good and when I looked up I knew I was probably going to need a little bit of luck right there.

We got that prayer answered tonight. Actually, I thought we played well enough during most of the game to win pretty easily. We missed a ton of easy shots, but that's been the story of this team. We've been inconsistent. We look like a million bucks one night and not so good the next.

It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. We kept the puck going ahead tonight. We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

We hit a lot of shots tonight. That's key for us. If we can make some perimeter shots we can be a pretty good team. We hit two or three in the first quarter that got us up big.

They (the Eagles) make it really hard for you to get good shots. I thought we had to be patient and do an especially good job of executing. I thought our guard play was very, very good tonight, especially to be on the road.

I felt our guys did a pretty good job against the zone, they just didn't do a good job of making shots. They knew how to attack the defense. They did a good job tonight, they just didn't make shots. You feel helpless sometimes.

Galloway is a heck of a ball player. We ran a bunch of very good athletes at him tonight and he still made athletic shots. We had our best jumpers and drivers on him and he jumped and drove around them to score baskets. When he starts off hitting some shots and gets it in his head that he's on that night, he's very dangerous. He had two very good games against us this year.

Our defense played better tonight. Hudson hardly took any shots inside the paint tonight and we limited them to three offensive rebounds, all in the fourth quarter.
