I pretty much knew I had it going into today's race. But skiing is No. 1 in Austria and people expect an Austrian to be on top of the podium.

You almost expect surprises in this type of a race. The skiing was so fast because you had this ice coming out of the sky, making really hard tracks. There isn't a huge gap in the skiing. You couldn't make more than a minute or two on anybody today. So the (good) shooters had a huge advantage, much more than normal.

I don't think that neutrality is an obstacle to Austria's successful integration into European and world structures... but this is a question that the Austrian people themselves must decide,

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

After the super G, where I made a costly mistake and still had a reasonable result, I knew I was skiing well. I entered today's race with the intention to attack 100 per cent.

Even the way we speak is very musical, like a walking jazz bass. Classical music is so dusty that the dust has dust. And much of jazz is following in the same dusty path, recreating its glories rather than moving forward.

He's going out and when he is skiing, he's skiing really well. He obviously hasn't put a race together.... Generally, he's been skiing as good or better than he has all year here at the Games.

It was excellent, ... We had a great car all weekend. We made a good change there on the second stop. The car was solid and we were able to hang onto third. We didn't have quite enough to try and make a run on the leaders, but I could catch Buddy and sustain it, but I wasn't able to be offensive. I'm really happy with the podium (top three). It's our first podium of the season. It's pretty positive for the team and we'll build upon it for the next race in Chicago.

That was a pretty tough race for us today. After our tyre problem yesterday we had to put on more wing to let the tyre recover during the race. But the car was very difficult to drive all race, especially early on. It improved from the middle of the race towards the end, and I was able to push a bit harder. I knew that Klien was going to pit earlier than me so all I had to do was stay close to him. Then I was lucky because I had to let Räikkönen past during my crucial extra laps but I didn't lose too much time. After all that, one point is better than nothing.

This has nothing to do with the (National Olympic Committee) or the (Austrian Skiing Federation), this was rented for private citizen.

I knew it was not going to be easy, but its nice to be on the podium first time around. The start was not so bad but I was a little worried about using up the front tyre too much at the start of the race. I knew if I stuck back a bit, it was going to be difficult for me.

We sailed pretty solidly all week and today as well. Fortunes are won and lost pretty easily, race-to-race in this game. The guys all stayed level and we approached each race as it came. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. We sailed pretty solidly all week and today as well. The focus is on Austria. Those guys always step it up, and there are so many of them, and it seems every year there's a new guy. We're starting to do that, and when we come in and steal a podium, the Austrians don't like it.

I'm so happy to be to be on the podium today. Before the race things weren't going to plan. In the morning warm-up we were so slow and were in real trouble. My guys made some changes and I have to be real grateful to them as they got it right and that's why I got third. The bike was so much better in the race than it had been all weekend - so much faster.
