We came to play ordsprog

We came to play today. ... I think we came together as a team and played well. We just want to take it one game at a time and keep moving on.

Today we played almost well enough to win the game. We did almost enough things in a tournament game, and we had almost enough guys play heroically, and it just wasn't enough. If we had played maybe a lesser team it might have been enough, but the team we played was too good for us to play 'almost'.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

We were a tired team today, and we played like it. It was not a pretty game, but we'll gladly take the win over a good Dadeville team that came to play today.

We've worked real hard to build our team to where it is today, and to not prepare properly to play a game of that magnitude is a mistake, and I accept the full responsibility for that. If I felt that it wasn't the right time for us to play that game, I should have been a little bit strong in saying this is not the right time to play.

As a team, we played well and we came together and we got through another day. We've been through a lot of controversy today, a lot of issues. We have a family here and we've been moving on all year. We're going to keep on moving on.

I don't know what our record is going to be or where we fall in the division. I want to be a better football team when we play our last game than when we played our first game. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. If that's the case, then we'll be moving in the right direction. Good teams get better as the season gets going.

Overall, I am pleased with today. We didn't play as well in doubles as we can and that was disappointing. However, we played extremely well in singles. I thought that we played UNC the best that we have played any top-20 team this season, let alone a top-10 team. We matched up well against North Carolina. It was a matter of believing that we can compete with top teams, and I think we proved that to ourselves today.

We have the type of team that executes all the time and that's our game. We failed today at moving the guys over.

When we play our best, we can play with anybody. I think we're capable of going all the way, but we've got to take it one game at a time. We've got to line up and play whoever they put in front of us and play the way we played today and it will all take care of itself. We're not just in there just to be saying we're there.

The last game, as a team, myself, I didn't think we played the way we should, ... I was unhappy with the way I played, so today was a big challenge for us to play well and for me to bounce back.

This is obviously the most important time of year. As a player, this is when you like to play ... and when you want to be on top of your game. I think on the ice is where (the game) is played. We all know they're a great team and they've got a lot of power. We'll respect that team but we'll have to do what we do best and concentrate on our team.

I've discussed it before, and this team is moving on and I'm moving on and we're just concentrating on the game tomorrow and the two points we need. It's a team we've always had spirited rivalries with. They're exciting games to play in.

We were very fortunate to win the first two games that we played them. We won on the last play of the game the first time we played them and last year was a very close game, too. They have virtually their entire team back, as far as I can see.

Our team played wonderful golf today. Duke played well today, but we were able to play better. It was really great to be able to beat the No. 1 team in the country and have four of our players finish in the top 11.
