He's so gracious. Everybody is wanting to get close to him, touch him and get autographs. This is his program.

Our tournament is great, because you can come and get up close to the pros and get autographs after they are done playing. You can almost reach out and touch them.

Regardless of results or performance, the ability to interact and impact the young student-athletes involved in the Chicago SCORES program was a great opportunity for all of our student-athletes. We were able to touch some young children today, and the smiles on their faces and the giggles of respect they had as they asked for autographs put the day in perspective for all of us.

When I was living in Charlotte, I usually had to wait until late in the night to go to dinner because it would be such a scene at the restaurant with people wanting autographs and stuff, ... Here, I can go out whenever I want. People have really respected my privacy. I love it.

We're talking about people in their 30s wanting to take a sabbatical and see the world, go back to school, fix up a house or have a baby. The attraction that 401(k) accounts will have for people who can't touch them until they're in their 60s won't be as strong as the attraction of an employer participation program where employees can access those funds earlier in their lives. They'll want to make some of their dreams come true earlier rather than later.

We've had a winning program through the years. That will be a better magnet for coaches wanting to come in this area, coming to a quality program that's established and has a reputation of being a winning program.

I don't know that I ever wanted greatness, on its own. It seems rather like wanting to be an engineer, rather than wanting to design something--or wanting to be a writer, rather than wanting to write. It should be a by-product, not a thing in itself. Otherwise, it's just an ego trip.

Those of us who worked with her thought that she was very gracious with her physical self, very gracious with the public. That included in airports, on sidewalks and in restaurants.
