Lindsey kept us in a lot of games last year and she should be one of the solid points of our team.

Against Calaveras we played one of our best games of the year. Coming off the bench, Lindsey Carlson (our secret weapon) hit 13 points, leading the team.

I think we have some good, solid talent on this football team. I think we lost five games by three points or less last year. So it's not that this place is depleted of talent. That's not the case at all. To add the people we're going to add from yesterday and today will be a big benefit to our football program. ... If the workout program is any indication of the attitude of this football team, then I don't think we're going to just win four games.

She's a tremendous player. We've played a lot of good players this year. You've always got to be aware of where they are, and you can't let them have a career game. She's averaging around 20 points, so we'd like to keep her at that. But Rushville is a solid team. All of their players are capable of having big games. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. She's a tremendous player. We've played a lot of good players this year. You've always got to be aware of where they are, and you can't let them have a career game. She's averaging around 20 points, so we'd like to keep her at that. But Rushville is a solid team. All of their players are capable of having big games.

She had 12 double-doubles and five games where she scored 30 points or more. She set the school record with 41 points against Shadow Mountain. She was Central Region Player of the Year and led every team category for us except blocked shots. She did everything possible to help this team do as well as it did. She's such a really good team player.

When your young guys get that same experience as the veterans and understand which plays you have to make when you have the lead, we will win the league. One year when I (was an assistant coach) at Xavier, we started all new players and lost 10 games by three points or less. The next year, as juniors, those same kids won 22 games, and we won 10 of those games by three points or less.

They're a solid team. They remind me a lot of our team. They're just sound in what they do. They have two outstanding players who scored 46 of their 52 points the other night. We have to keep them from going crazy and having 95 percent of their team's points again.

Lindsey came out and shot (Foster) down. It was a true testament to Lindsey and playing her old team. It's got to be a challenge.

We have a more offensive-minded team with more weapons this year. Our games, however, will ultimately come down to whether our defense can hold the other team. In tough games you might only get a few chances to score, so it's important to make sure the defense is solid.

We're a solid team when we play together as a team. These were probably two of the best games we've played as a team this year.

That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

And that's for a team that has had trouble generating a lot of points. Crystal has had a very solid senior year. I think she ranks with all of the top point guards in the league.

We had one preseason game. The seeding is done according to the number of power points. You can have a team with 22 games and they're still getting more points for losing games.

I'm not worried about individual stats. I do what's best for my team and do whatever the team needs. Some nights, someone has got it going (offensively) and I just run the team. Other nights, they may need me to score. Over the course of the year, I just want to win games and get quarter points.

He was kind of like our team against Vancouver. He got points, but I don't think he had some of his better games of the year. It's typical of what we did.
