I am very excited about this year's team. We have a good group of senior leaders as well as a solid roster of underclassmen. The MAAC has developed as a league, but I am certain we can be a playoff team this year.

It's a little embarrassing when you decide in the beginning of the year that you want to be one of the best 3-point field goal defensive teams in the league. They've got three really solid guards. Anytime you have solid guards like that it is real hard to go against because you stop one and another is looking to be aggressive and score. I think we did a decent job on them. They shot a lot of shots. Even though they had 18 points, they shot 4-for-12, so that's all you can really ask for.

Akin has had a very, very solid year for us. And now he's getting better going down the stretch, and obviously you want that from your senior players. He's given us a post presence. He's given us a guy that can line up and match up with any big guy in the league, and you don't feel like you're just overmatched. And that's saying something in this league.

(Anglin-Smith) has earned her playing time. She has made the most of every opportunity. We have two great point guards. We have the two best point guards in the league. We are glad to have Sam.

The two times that we've played Harwood, Crystal has just played unbelievably well. Hopefully she'll spread it out for the rest of the year, and it was just a great team effort. I keep telling them if you want to play playoff basketball, you've got to take care of the ball and execute. We don't get it and we have to keep working on it.

I think Tony has finally grown up and matured as a leader of the team. When you talk about point guards and look at the things he has been able to do consistently this season, you have to mention Parker as one of the best in the league.

Their two guards could start for anybody in our league. We're going to have to do a very good job of making our team concerned with where they are, what set they're in, who is setting the screen and what we're going to do to disrupt them, because the other three players really rely on those two guards playing well.
