en We want to make sure the kids know the new things we're adding by the time practice gets here in the fall. We want to come out of the spring knowing what we can do and who we can do it with. We have a lot of questions, but there are a lot of people here who can provide the answers.

en I thought it was a really good spring. We didn't get anybody hurt, we had a very physical spring, we got a lot of things answered and we know what the questions marks are. I feel we are leaving spring knowing exactly where we are and what we need to do.

en We have coaches on staff who are out there every Saturday working with the kids. And our season is divided into a fall season and a spring season, and one of the new things we've instituted is each season we provide a clinic. It provides a lot of one-on-one coaching time.

en By the time the people asking the questions are ready for the answers, the people doing the work have lost track of the questions.

en [Whitaker] has just got to get some things done. When he gets things done we'll continue his evaluation. It's not impossible that he'll be back at some point during spring practice. en One of the big things spring practice is for is for the kids to be seen. I just hope the kids take advantage of this opportunity. Even the young kids have a chance to be seen. (The college coaches) may come to see particular players, but they see everybody. They're looking at everything.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall.
