The media spent so much time and focus on New Orleans and its devastation, we all get cooked in the same pot.

From when I was 4 years old, I spent a lot of time with my aunt in New Orleans. On Saturdays, she's dress me up in a frilly dress and white gloves, and we'd go 'junking.' We actually went to some of the best antique stores in New Orleans. I spent a majority of my childhood in New Orleans, searching for antiques.

This is one of those stories that came out of the devastation of New Orleans that has not been widely told by the media.

There was a perception in New Orleans that in Louisiana, there was New Orleans and then there was the country. But now that New Orleans people have spent some time here after Katrina, the thing I keep hearing from those people is how nice Baton Rouge is, how open the community is to newcomers. And I think that is why people are staying.

We spent many years in the same league with Tulane and Southern Miss and still consider them members of our family, ... Many of our fans visited New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast while we were competing against those schools and have been struck by the images of the devastation in those areas. I hope this can help.

The overall amount of time spent in a day with media is enormous, ... the best approach I've seen for measuring all combinations of concurrent media usage.

To see my New Orleans in the state she is in is my worst nightmare. We are all praying for our extended family to be reunited. Hopefully, our prayers are not falling on deaf ears. By the grace of God, New Orleans and the entire Gulf Coast will pull through this massive devastation.

Congressmen and people from outside this area, they only understand it, they only get it, when they see it. If we're going to help New Orleans rebuild, we want people who visit New Orleans to see what happened, to see what devastation it's caused.

I was just shedding more tears than I've shed in a long time.

The whole county is literally garbage and trash out on the streets. It's total devastation. Way worse than I thought. The media couldn't do it justice. The media can't give you the smells, sounds and personal stories, the one-on-one conversations.

There's been a huge focus on the Democratic primary, a lot of media coverage of those events ... huge amounts of money spent attacking the president.

The devastation of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region has made it necessary for the Hornets to move to a temporary location for the upcoming season. But it was important to the Hornets and the NBA that we maintain a presence in Louisiana in anticipation of a return to New Orleans next season.

I am praying for them. That's all you can (do), I guess. Pray that those soldiers get in there and get to help them. I don't know if New Orleans will ever be the same. That's a shame. I spent a lot of time there. That's where I'm from.

With the recent devastation to the city, the time is right to reflect on the rich history of New Orleans. There are questions swirling as to whether this town that lies below sea level can -- or even should -- be rebuilt. We believe this film will play an important role in that national dialogue.
