We hope he can hit a lot better, since he's starting earlier because he's not playing basketball this year.

People look forward to having that time with each other and are showing up earlier and earlier each week. They want to be a part of having real conversations. This Sunday I made two coffee dates with people I hardly know.

Randy (the Ford's other son) is still healing from his accident earlier this year (he was struck by a sprint car in July, suffering a broken leg). With Doug's condition, racing just isn't that important right now. We appreciate the prayers and encouragement we have received from the racing community, but our family needs to be together right now. I hope everyone understands.

Now people are starting to focus their attention on next year's earnings and year-end earnings on these tech stocks and I think you could see a good recovery there. Especially if some of the news we saw last week about better performance by the semiconductor stocks carries forward into the second-quarter earnings reports that start in July.

We've been delighted at the outcomes of these events. We begin planning earlier and earlier each year because we're looking forward to another great night. We don't have a particular target goal yet. Over 1,500 invitations have been sent out already. To those of you who have contributed in the past, we thank you and hope you will continue by making a donation this year.

She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness. This is the biggest week ever. Including last year, this is probably the biggest week we'll have. There are two very good teams coming in. They should be great games. It's going to be pretty hard.

It was a good showing by the alumni. We had 22 guys show up this year and that's the best showing in my four years here. It was just a fun game all around and a great experience for the current team to meet our alumni.

It's just a little sprain. Playing through it isn't going to be too bad. ... Earlier in the week, there was a little pain, but it's starting to get better.

Another thing about back-to-school is that the marketing push from retailers is getting earlier and earlier. It used to start beginning of August, but now we're seeing it as early as mid-July.

The biggest theme is the biggest winners from last year were the biggest losers last week.

The scariest part (of these past few weeks) is that usually you can rely on there being a hit every week of the summer or at least every week in July. The biggest concern in the industry is two out of four weeks in our best month, there were no major openings. Clearly 'Stealth' did share a lot of the same problems that 'The Island' did. It just seemed that both were typical summer action fare that did not seem to resonate at all.

Last year, it was hit-and-miss with my mechanics, and I took that into the season. That's the biggest change from last year to this year. My timing was off earlier this month, but it felt a lot better (Tuesday).

Demand has strengthened since July because of tax cuts and incredibly low unemployment. Sales at our stores were about 5 percent higher than the same time a year earlier.

We have been growing at 26 per cent and fetched around US$ 1.5 billion during July-November period of the current financial year.
